In Gro\u00dfbritannien und Deutschland intensivieren sich Kooperationen im Forschungsbereich.<br>Das wachsende Team um CEO John Kawola im Hauptquartier von BMF in Boston bezieht gerade eine neue B\u00fcroetage, um den ehrgeizigen Wachstumskurs der vergangenen zwei Jahre fortzusetzen. Die Produktentwicklung, die Unterst\u00fctzung der wachsenden Anwenderbasis in den USA und die weltweite Expansion erfordern eine zunehmende Zahl von Spezialisten. Zu den Aktivit\u00e4ten geh\u00f6rt auch die Anfertigung von Prototypen und Musterteilen nach den Vorgaben und 3D-Modellen von Kunden &#8211; sei es als Versuchsteile vor dem Kauf eines 3D-Druckers oder als Dienstleistung.<br>Dazu hat BMF in Chongqing, China, ein neues 3D-Druckzentrum in Betrieb genommen. Auf \u00fcber 3.000 Quadratmetern Produktionsfl\u00e4che erf\u00fcllen mehr als<br>40 3D-Drucker aus der eigenen Produktion rund um die Uhr die Kundenw\u00fcnsche.<br>Die Bauteile in Mikroformaten werden f\u00fcr den chinesischen Markt ebenso wie f\u00fcr Anwender in allen Regionen der Welt produziert.<br>In Europa erproben immer mehr Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen das von BMF entwickelte 3D-Druckverfahren der Projektionsmikro- Stereolithografie (P\u00b5SL). So hat die renommierte University of Nottingham, die bereits seit zwei Jahren einen 3D-Drucker MicroArch S130 mit 2\u00b5- Aufl\u00f6sung betreibt, einen neuen MicroArch S240 mit 10\u00b5 Druckaufl\u00f6sung beschafft, um die Entwicklung von Produktionsmaterial und medizintechnischen Ger\u00e4ten voranzutreiben. Ausschlaggebend daf\u00fcr war der erweiterte Materialviskosit\u00e4tsbereich des S240. Damit kann die Universit\u00e4t mehr funktionale Materialien verwenden, die bisher nur schwer zu drucken waren, einschlie\u00dflich gro\u00dfer nat\u00fcrlicher Molek\u00fcle und Keramiken.<br>F\u00fcr das Buchmann-Institut f\u00fcr Molekulare Bio-Wissenschaften an der Goethe- Universit\u00e4t in Frankfurt konnte Boston Micro Fabrication (BMF) mit der neuartigen P\u00b5SL erfolgreich Versuchsleiterplatten f\u00fcr das Thermoformen von Mikroskopierfolien produzieren. Seit kurzem betreut Ferenc Toth als Sales Manager f\u00fcr Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich und die Schweiz Interessenten und Kunden von Deutschland aus und intensiviert die Beziehungen zu Forschungseinrichtungen ebenso wie zur Industrie.
